PORN FOR THE FAMILY: September 2007

okay guys. if you all remembered correctly, a few weeks before the promo exams audrey was putting up a few pieces of paper regarding a class chalet to take place after our exams. well now that it is after our exams, it's time to do some planning.

i'm helping audrey to do some pre-planning first cos she always seems to be rather busy. so i need you guys' feedback if we want to make this a success, alright? we don't have much time because the holiday season is coming right up and the chalets all over singapore are CERTAIN to be fully booked. we need to make a booking fast enough or we might have to resort to last-minute dates that the chalets can offer, which is not very good since not all of us are free everyday.

firstly i need you guys to make a decision on WHICH chalet you guys want. there are quite a number around singapore, it just depends on what kind of activities you guys wanna do during the duration of the chalet cos the places around the chalet would make a big difference on this issue. from my own knowledge, there are chalets at these areas:

1. east coast park
2. sentosa
3. pasir ris park
4. changi
5. downtown east

apparently the changi ones are much bigger than the rest, but we most probably need someone whose parent is a civil servant or our teachers to do the booking cos there's a huge price difference in a member of the publc renting it and a civil servant. even then, we'll only be able to limit our activities to the chalet itself, and surrounding places like changi coast, the beaches & old changi hospital (not for the faint hearted). the point of getting a chalet at changi is basically cos of its size, really nothing much more. but that's my opinion anyway, it's for u guys to decide.

in the case of the other chalets, we'd most probably not be able to stuff three quarters of our classmates into one unit with enough sleeping room (i went with my class last year and we had to squeeze even though there were only 7 people). so if there are that many people staying over, i'd suggest two units or possibly a bigger one. but for that we'll get better access to more stuff to do should we get bored (e.g. sentosa, downtown east, east coast park to cycle, etc. beats changi i guess.) also, another issue is whether we'll be able to get slots for us since these chalets are the more popular ones.

basically what i need u guys to do is to drop me a message with only two pieces of information:

1. your choice of chalet location
2. the dates where you're not free

when i get the messages, i'll update this page again with names and the various information (especially the vote count for the chalet locations). then i'll leave it to audrey to decide on which one to book and on what date. as for minor activities during the chalet like bbq, dawn and i will discuss and assist. if we need help we'll ask around.

once again, do remember to submit your decision so we can make the appropriate arrangements in advance. thanks alot T8! we'll try our best to make this the best gathering for the year :)
